SLIIT : How To Make Web Sites Load Faster
The purpose of the HOSTS file is to allow you to manually enter IP addresses associated with websites, so the DNS server can quickly resolve an address. Say you know that google.com is the IP address 64.233.187.99 — you could enter that into the HOSTS file so when your machine requests google.com, it will immediately know to go to http://64.233.187.99/.
Example
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
Open the hosts file using NotePad
Add this line in the bottom
127.0.0.1 localhost
64.233.187.99 www.google.com
(XP Only)
You can add many lines as you like.
If you need to find IP's visit http://www.whois.net/

Today I received SLIIT Crutin DBMSIII Mid Term Marks.
I got 40 marks out of 60. It's more than I expected.
The good thing about curtin degree is that you get to see the papers and it helps you to find your weaknesses in exams.

SLIIT : How about video learning
I think it is about time we start video learning in SLIIT. Lecturers can make the lecture videos available in the courseweb. It will be a great help when a student misses a class.
Main drawback of this system is that nobody will ever come to lectures when you can get the video from the courseweb.
It is our responsibility to use the resources correctly and wisely.
