How to find current shell in Ubuntu / Linux

There are several shells you can work on Linux, BASH (Bourne-Again SHell), CSH(C SHell), KSH (Korn SHell) are some of the famous ones.
So how you know what is your current SHELL?
try the following command in your terminal.
echo $SHELL

Find current working shell

Ubuntu for SLIIT C++

You can use Ubuntu to do your C++ practicals.
Don't use the Live CD, Install it.
If you install and still not able to run C++ programs, Then you need to add the C++ libraries.
Goto System(Top of the desktop) -> administration -> synaptic package manager -> and search for the c++ libraries in development or libraries categories.
But I haven't tried ncurses program in Ubuntu
