SLIIT : Curtin Final Exam

Curtin final exam for SLIIT students is due on 10th to 15th October.
It's been a reasonably hard week for me because of my long held back studies.
there are many things to cover in a short time of period. I'm sure that rest of the weeks before the exam would need lot of hard work so I can get a pass.

SLIIT : Need More Videos

It's really sad to see less SLIIT videos in the net.
when you type "SLIIT Videos" in Google you get only few videos.
I'm working on making some videos about SLIIT and SLIIT life, but it will take time.
I would also like to see you guys make some videos and upload them to youtube.

SLIIT : To You My Friend

There are some students who are total IT Geeks.
and
There are some who do nothing and just wonder around and laugh at others thinking that they are cool, believe me it's not.
I have only this to say,
Life sucks and it get worse when you get more older.
So please feel free to enjoy your life.
Smokers, smoke (try to quit)
Drinkers, drink.
Occasional weed is OK with me ;-)
Never go to extreme of anything fun or study.
trow out a part, play a sport, get to know new people, hang out with your Friends.
If you have a girl friend, don't neglect your friends you'll need them more than your girl friend.
Enjoy your life, and play it safe ;-)

SLIIT : Curtin SETM Assignment 2

We need to modify the given ByteParser code.
It should be able to identify number of:
1)Private Methods.
2)Public Methods.
3)Protected Methods.
4)Static Methods and unspecified methods in a given class file.

Coding part is easy but the documentation is harder than I expected.

SLIIT BUS

I must agree that this is a very nice service offered by the SLIIT to its students.
It's much more cheaper and faster to go home than a normal public bus.
This is also a very good advertising for SLIIT, when the bus go in the road people stop to take another look at it because of its logos.

SLIIT : Curtin DBMSIII (DS362)

Today I finished the SLIIT-Curtin DBMSIII(DS362) Midterm 2.
Paper was not that hard but the time was not enough.
Paper contained two Oracle OO inheritance questions and two from Indexing.
Total time for the paper was 80 minutes.

SLIIT : How To Make Web Sites Load Faster

The purpose of the HOSTS file is to allow you to manually enter IP addresses associated with websites, so the DNS server can quickly resolve an address. Say you know that google.com is the IP address 64.233.187.99 — you could enter that into the HOSTS file so when your machine requests google.com, it will immediately know to go to http://64.233.187.99/.

Example

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
Open the hosts file using NotePad
Add this line in the bottom
127.0.0.1 localhost
64.233.187.99 www.google.com
(XP Only)

You can add many lines as you like.
